Thank you for the honest article. I was going to buy the new Arctic Freezer 33CO, but now seeing how if stacks up to others I'm going to be buying the be quiet! DARK ROCK PRO 3 even though its more money. Its an investment in my system. Better cooling by 8 degrees in many of your tests. I plan on keeping my new build for a long time. Intel Core i7-6700K, Asus - Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3200 Memory, Fractal Design Define R5 case, Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive, MSI GeForce GTX 1080 8G Video Card, EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750W 80+ Gold power supply, Asus BW-16D1HT Blu-Ray/DVD/C?D Writer. Thank again for showing great comparisons.
Considering how compact and inexpensive the cooler is, the results are pretty good. They tried too much to make this model functional, if it had been a huge brick like the rest, it would have been the best. There is no reason for such a small heatsink to have 2 fans and be compared to twin tower coolers.
Also, the "silent" buzzing sound of Noctua fans during load can never been more silent than the lullaby Bequiet Dark Rock Pro 3 fans.
It does not matter anyway, the Arctic Freezer 33 is all about functionality and space, you can easily mount a Noctua fan and have it as silent as the rest.
